A {sunday} trip

we went on a trip today
The weather was perfect for this kind of stuff
overshadowed and not too warm.
I knew of this place but hadn´t been able
to visit before. I believe all the good stuff were gone.
Today was last day.
This place sells props from the old Danish Film
Company 'Nordisk Film'
This is how it looked like when entering the barn
photo taken with Instagram
I were able to find some good stuff though

here´s a overlook.
Let´s have closer look of things.
A piece of old red velvet fabric
and some pretty rolls of vintage wallpaper

a bunch of small tablecloth, doilies, lace pieces,
curtain pieces, embroidered hangkerchiefs.
and a huge bunch of ephemera

I think these are blank signatures
yellowed by age
Perfect for journals

and a huge ledger book

That´s a pretty good score
if I may say so.
I´ve been really lucky these last times
I´ve been fleaing.
Running out of space am I...
I´ve been thinking of opening
a flea market section in my shop
to share my finds
What do you think?
Would that be of any interest?
Hope you all are enjoying a wonderful sunday.

Preview for Hugglets

The Hugglets Fair in London
is approaching and I have been busy
making bears for that.
22 little ones are finished and there´s still
a few weeks to go - yeaahh

Here´s a little preview of some
of the bears that will come with me to the fair

this is sweet little Gabriel and his friend August.
Both are 3.5 inch and made from mini bear fabric

Tessa and Dehlia

little black Hamilton - he´s such a sweet [heart]

Ophelia in her silver cup

two fellas made from vintage mohair.
Rupert and Isiah - both are 4.5 inch

and this little lady is
Lola in her purse

With still some time, I hope to be
able to finish a few more and then it´s time to
plan the display and prepare the paper work.

The fair is held on Sunday September 9th
Read more about the fair here.

If you´re in the area do come and say hello
the bears and I would love a visit.

Wishing you all a beautiful day

This and That

I found these tiny crochet doilies
some time ago - you may remember.
They came home with me after a
visit to Sweden

I created some pretty little tags with them.
Using cardboard and some old book pages

a with a sweet little image on top.

They are perfect for a little gift for someone special
or as a sweet decoration - maybe for christmas

there were only 9 of these tiny crochet doilies
so that´s what there´s gonna be
They are here

Fall is getting closer - right.
My favorite time of year.
So I finished up a few more wrist warmers

These white ones can be found here.
More wristwarmers in more colors are here.

I´m back to the bearmaking.
The Hugglets show is getting closer
and I need to make another few

Here´s the first little preview of
some of the bears that will come with me.
I´ll show you more later this month.

These little ones are only 3.5 inch tall
Aren´t they just cute.

Have a beautiful day everyone

I {heart} Flea Markets

I {heart] flea markets
I know you know
but just in case you didn´t...

A few weeks ago I got a chance to visit
my favorite one - the one I can´t drive
to myself
hubby showed mercy - yeahhh for him

It was a great one.

I found some cool old books.
the big one is filled with wonderful
old photos

an old photoalbum - half full of
cabinet cards and some very cool old hardware

a box full of old lace

here´s a close up of the lace pieces

pretty right....

todays was a rainy one
most booths were covered with table cloths
and plastic so it was difficult to see anything
but I did manage to find a few goodies.

a wonderful Villeroy & Boch bowl
with pretty blue pattern.

a beautiful old tablecloth with lots of embroidery
and inserted lace and quite a few dirty spots too, but that doesn´t mind
as I´ll probably cut this for some projects.

How about this fun embroidered piece.
I´m not sure what this is called in English, but
in Danish it´s a 'klokkestreng'. meant to be hanged on the wall for
decoration. This one is a calendar with every month embroidered
with a  pretty image and all the dates too.
My plan is to take it apart and use each part alone or
maybe put some of the months up for sale for
repurpose in someone elses projects.

little pieces of silverware
and a few tin pieces too.

an old book with funny drawings

and some small ones with old photos.
I think the covers from these two
will be turned into journals

I {heart} flea markets.
Can you tell.....

Here´s to a beautiful sunday
I´m off to watch some olympics
We got a gold yesterday - yeahhh..
