I first read about this over at
my long time blogging friend Alisa
She had made this beautiful journal
from a vintage celluloid photoalbum.
and when I saw it, I so wanted to make one too.
Knowing that I didn´t really had the time by now
I put it aside in my head for something I had to put on my
'to do list'
and then I went back to have a look again and again...
It keept coming back to me - the thoughts about
making a journal totally different from what I
normally work with.
This is all about paper and with lots of colors too
so I started to read about the workshop over at Mary Anns
still knowing I didn´t had the time
I could start on gathering suppliers, couldn´t I
that wouldn´t harm - and so I did.
It´s not easy to get the real good stuff over her, so I had to
order online.
The vintage celluloid albums was out of my reach.
I could find some at reasonable prices online
but the shipping costs were even more than the album price
so that was out of the question - and mind you, I wasn´t going to make one
I didn´t had the time.....
and you have probably guess it by now
I signed up for the workshop - ofcourse I did
I HAD to
so I found some awesome bookcovers in my studio
to use for the album
and have finished my first journal
Haven´t worked on any of the pages yet.
That´ll have to wait until later,
but I really enjoyed the process.
Here´s a close up of some of the pages
just prepared a bit - ready to work on
using all kinds of different papers
for the pages and different sizes too
and here´s how my journal looks like
on the front cover
I´m so glad I did this
Thank you Alisa
wanna make one too?
check out Mary Anns workshop
Wishing you all a wonderful day
