Making decisions
I find that advertising is a must - but to find out how much and where..., that the question.
So far I have signed up for 4 issues in Australian Bear Creations for next year , as I´m going to participate in two shows down under. One online show (be my Valentine) and one real show(Sydney Teddy Bear Fair).
And then I have signed up for all 4 issues of the NEW Teddy Bear and Friends Mag. in the US. I´m really looking forward to the new design.
This mag. is going to have 4 issues a year instead of 6 next year - and each mag. will be bigger with a lot of feature and stuff.
Besides these two magazines, I was so lucky to get a spot in the Lollishops ad. in Somerset Life Spring Issue. This had to be a really really fast decision - and I didn´t hetitate one moment when the sign up was released. You have to be really quick as there´s only 30 spots available.
This will be my first ad. in one of Somersets magazines - oh, I love those magazines.
I realised I had to have new business cards for my Lollishop too. Spend the day taking pictures for those. And for some mini cards too. I have ordered my new business cards and mini cards at MOOs in UK. Can´t wait to see them in real. I think these pictures will look really pretty on my new cards.

Vacation
Pulteney Bridge
I really liked Bath. Those gorgeous buildings and the atmosphere. Definately have to go back some day. I´m also very proud to announce that my bears now are available in the bear shop in Bath: http://www.houseofbears-bath.co.uk/.
After Bath, our next stop was Cheltenham. For walking again. And so we did.
We walked all the way up the Devils Chemny (from the hardest way ofcourse) - and was rewarded with most beautiful view.
After Cheltenham our last stop was Birmingham.
We arrived the very same day as the Conservative Conference began, so there was SO many people in town. I have never seen so many people in black suits. Fortenately we had reserved all our hotels from home (thanks Ruth) - otherwise I´m not sure there had been a room for us.
I have never seen any city with so big shopping centres as Birmingham. I could have spend several days in there, which ofcourse I didn´t as my husbond was traveling with me :o)
a shopping center in Birmingham
As you hopefully can see, I have had a wonderful vacation in England.
We were so lucky with the weather. A bit cloudy and a lot of sun all days. People are so nice in UK - in fact I loved every bit of it. Definately going back.
This has to be for now.
I´ll better get back to some bear making.
Many hugs, Tina

Flea Market Finds
More vintage photos. Haven´t planned what to use them for yet. Maybe cards or in my ATCs.
And a bunch of old wachtes. Aren´t they just great. I will definately use some of the smallest ones for my bears. The bigger ones - I don´t know yet. Maybe l´ll pull them apart and use the pieces for jewellery or something like that.
Oh - and I AM working on those bears for Huggglets. Hope to show you some very soon.
Have a lovely weekend.

Tiny Treasury Boxes
These tiny boxes are some of my 'in between bears' projects. The first one is a tiny papier mache box covered with paper music sheets and decorated with an old wooden bobbin on top. I have added some seam binding, a metal tag and a pearl.
The next little box is also a papier mache box covered with pale pink paper and decorated with seam binding, crepe paper and a lovely glass heart on top.
Both boxes can be opened - great for tiny treasures.
They are both listed on my Etsy Shop.
Many hugs, Tina
Ahead of schedule
A lot of new fabric arrives in the studio these days. Look at those colors - aren´t they just wonderful. This mohair is for my bearmaking class in september. The kits will be made of that lovely pale pink mohair. It´s actually a pale pink with a darker pink tip. You can´t see it on the picture but it´s really wonderful.
This is the new mini bear fabric for the class in september too. Just haven´t decided which of those colors I´m going to make the kit in. Now I just have to make the models. I have them planned in my head - just have to sew them :o)
And all the advertising arrangements for fall are made. I´m going to advertise in The Teddy Bear Club International magazine and the Hugglets Guide for the fair in september.
The hangtags to use on the bags at the Hugglets Fair are ordered - I´m awaiting them every day now. Quite excited to see how they look for real.
Quite a few bears are already finished for the fair - yipee. I these days I´m working on a totally new design to be released at Hugglets. A sweet big-headed little fellow. The first one came out really cute. I have big expectations for the design - you´ll just have to wait at bit to see them.
Now it´s time for some 'in between bears' projects - see next post.
For now hugs, Tina

New bears
One of them is Bodley - 5.1 inch and made of brown sparse mohair.
He has twotoned amber glass eyes and a black embroidered nose. I have aged his mohair to make him look old. He has a rusty nut round his neck. He is such a sweet little soul looking for a new home. He and his new friends would love a visit.
