A Little lace Book

I´ve finished my little altered lace book

from the previous post

and wanted to show you how it turned out

 

This is the front cover.

On top a round metal found object with wire netting
on top of a sweet image on fabric.

I had so much fun making this

so I just couldn´t wait to start on another little book.

Time for something else - Work in Progress

Hello sweet friends

I hope you all enjoy the weekend

despite the freezing cold weather.

at least it is over here....

I´ve sat the bearmaking aside for a few days.

I feel I have enough for the fair by now and felt the urge

to work on something else.

this is what´s on my work table at the moment.

The start of a little altered book.

I´m using the book cover from one of those old ones

I found last summer in sweden 

and have been able to work on a few pages today

using some of the good stuff

vintage lace pieces

sweet fabric images ect.

going to show you more as this little

book comes together.

A little note about the follower stuff here in blog land.

As most of you know the Google Friends Connect

is no more supporting the non Google community as of March 1.

and some will know it´ll disappear from blogger at some time too.

So

It´s beginning to look like something

Hello my sweet friends

It´s finally weekend again.

Hubby have been away on a weeks skiing in France

so I have been working all my spare time

in the studio on bears for Hugglets

and it´s beginning to look like something

17 little ones finished so far

so now I´m sure I´ll make it

there´s still a few weeks to go

so if I can manage a few more that´ll work

here´s a little peak of some of them.

I´ll have a proper preview on my website soon.

This little last one is only 3.5 inch.

I´ve named him Malley.

Don´t you think he looks handsome

with his little collar and tiny rusty bell.

I´m off to start on another one

before hubby arrives home late tonight.

A little Bear and a little Clean Up

I decided I needed a little clean up

over here at the blog.

Kind of spring clean while we wait for spring.

allthough Winter arrived over here this week, with a bit of

snow and some cold and bright days.

So

I made a new background

and if you look at the pop of the page, there

more pages added.

I wanted a two column layout for a more

peaceful and clean look.

I hope it looks that way to you too.

My Old Suitcase

I want to start this post by thanking all of you

who commented on my little blue bear.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments.

I haven´t been able to get back to you to thank you personally

I´m having SO much trouble with my internet connection

these last two weeks - on and off all the time - mostly off....

They´re going to look into it tomorrow, so cross my fingers

anyway

during last summers junk hunting

I finally came across an old suitcase

not easy to find over here, and when I do

they´re quite expensive, so I was so lucky to get this

one for a very decent price.

it´s an old one

and it also smelled like one - urrgghh :o)

it´s taking me some time to find out how to rit of that old smell

but after experimenting with some radol

and some methylated spirit

I think it have worked



so now my old suitcase

containes my mohair stock for the bears

here´s a peek of some pretty colors

for some upcoming little ones

I´m still working on the bears for Hugglets

making decent progress

and have planned a little update with a few new bears

on my website end January.

More about the bears later.

Do you have trouble commenting on blogger?

Hi All

Though I would pop in and make a little

post about blogger and comments.

Recently I have experiented some trouble commenting on

some of the blogs I follow, and I can see posts in blogland

that others have the same problem.

So if you have experiented this too or if you have received emails

about people can´t leave a comment on your blog

all I can say is

this is a know problem at Blogger

the only thing we don´t know is

when will they fix it

so

here goes:

if you have your comment settings set to be embedded

in your posts, people using IE or Firefox

will have some trouble leaving comments on the post.

Safari works fine though.

To solve this, the only thing you have to do,

is to set your comment settings as a pop up box

that should do the trick.

A Little Blue Bear

Hi All

and happy saturday

Remember the little blue bear in the last post...

I´ve finished him

and his name is Little Joe

Thought I would show you how he turned out

so here he is...

I gave him a little singlet

to wear and a tiny rusty bell

He´s a little bit smaller than normal

just 3.5 inch

Here he is in my hand

to give you an idea of his size.

It´s a beautiful sunny day here today.

Hope to find time for a walk too.

Now back to bear making :o)

Studio Arrangements

I´ve been working on some arrangements

in the studio in  between the bearmaking this weekend.

I was so very lucky to get hold of a new desk for the computer.

Nothing fancy at all - it´s larger than the old one and

it´s white.... :o)

This is an old photo from my studio

It´ll give you an idea

you can just see  a snip of the old desk in this photo

and I´ve wanted to get rid of that ugly old rack next to the white shelves too

and as this new desk was bigger - the old ugly one was replaced

with a new smaller macthing white one.

which ended up giving me some more wall space to fill

this is how it looked like when the shelves and desk was in place.

Quite bare right...

and this is the new studio look

an old plate rack I´ve had for quite some while

came up on the left.

I´ve only added a few things so far.

underneath I´ve added some tiny hooks

and a wire to hang little pretty stuff.

I also made some frame creations

from old golden frames

to hang on the wall above the computer

one with a vintage dolls dress

and one for the very pretty pocket

sweet Ann made for me some years ago.

Quite happy with my little corner.

and

on my work table at the moment

this sweet little pale blue fellow.

All about the Bears

Hello Sweet Friends

and Happy Friday

First of all, I want to thank you all

for the wonderful Birthday wishes I have received.

I´m so sorry I haven´t had the time to visit you all.

Wish the days had more hours.

This first month of the new years

is going to be all about the bears.

The sickness during Christmas really got me.

I´ve had a hard time getting on top of things

and have been feeling really tired.

So I haven´t really gotten back at things

in the Tinybear Studio.

The Hugglets Fair in London is sneaking up on me

and there´s only 7 weeks left. So far I have only one bear ready

this sweet little 3.5 inch girly bear Hazel

(If you see this Beth - this is what I was going to use your coin purses for)

I´ll need about 25 bears to fill my table

which means 24 more to go

and 6 week to do it, as the last week before have to be

sat aside for preparing the table setup and paperwork.

Simple calculation says that´ll be 4 bears pr. week from now

so you´ll see - it´s going to be all about the bears :-)

If you don´t read my blog for the bears sake

I promise there will be other stuff too - lol.

About the bears

Some thoughts have been rummaged in

my head for some time now

and this is where you come in

my dear readers

So far I have been updating my website with new bears

when I have had enough - say 3-5 bears between shows.

I´ve been wanting to do this on a more regular basis

but haven´t decided how offen

or if it would do any differents.

so my question is:

Should I have a sceduled website update say ones a month

or every second month on certain dates?

Should I have a few website updates a year, like a personal webshow?

Should I just update when I have enough bears as I have done so far?

Does it do any differens?

I would love to hear your thought on this matter.

If you don´t feel like posting on here

On My Birthday

Happy New Year everyone

I hope you all had a lovely evening

This is the first day in a new year

and it´s also my Birthday

the big Five. O.

no party for me today though

that´ll have to wait a few months.

Time to reflect

Time to make new plans

For me the word for this year is 

Balance

I need to have more balance in my life

Balance between real work and creative work

Balance between work and free time

Balance between computer time and creative time

Balance between work time and family time

Need to balance time

 

I wish for you all

What´s your word.....

And so this was Christmas

and we all went down with a stomach flue

starting the day before Christmas

one by one

not the most wonderful Christmas this year

sign...

we managed to get a nice Christmas Eve though

and fortunately I have a few days off from work.

They were meant as working days in the studio

now they are recovery days.

so much for plans... :o)

anyway

while we´re looking forward to a new wonderful year

I´m having a

END OF YEAR SALE

in the shop.

Lots of items are marked down with 20%

so pop over and have a look.

I can´t live without plans

so I have lots for the new year

and can´t wait to share everything with you all.
