Bears in a Box ready to travel

Hi All

Sorry for my absence lately.
It´s been some busy days over here.
Just need to do the last packing now.

Tablecloth
and wine boxes to use for the display.
Don´t worry - they will be covered with more tablecloth.
I need to have some levels on the table
for the bears to be seen

Lace and doilies and old cigar boxes
for the display too

All set to go

I will be leaving early in the morning heading for London
and the show on Sunday - can´t wait.
23 little ones hoping to find a new home.

After a few days in London we will be spending
some days in Oxford too, for
a little but much needed vacation.

Relaxing with some great food and wine, and if I´m lucky
an antique and Craft market too.

I´ll be out of the studio until September 18th.
Hoping to catch up with you all when I return.

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend.

Little Lace Books

Little Lace Books

that´s what I have been working on lately.
I really enjoy using little snippets
and pieces and leftovers for these

this is the layers in two books
not two 'pages' are alike

Here´s a little peek at one of the pages.

The covers are made from vintage quilt pieces.
Some very worn ones I came across some time ago.
Love the faded colors and just knew they would
be perfect for this project.

some more details on the pages.
a sweet little pocket with a teeny tiny bird tag

another with a sweet vintage image

cute velvet flowers
and vintage buttons

You can see the quilt cover on this one
tied with a silk ribbon with an old
rusty belt bucket

Just a little more than a week to go
before I leave for London and The Hugglets Fair.
There´s still things to do
but I think I´m on schedule.

Thanks for visiting today
and wishing you all a very beautiful day
this first day of autumn.

A few new creations

Things have started to settle down about the
bears for now so I have been working on a
few little pouches for the shop.

They are so much fun to make
and also a great way to use some
of the good stuff

made from a vintage table clothes I found
some time ago at the flea

I have decorated them with layers
of vintage lace and a piece of beautiful striped
french fabric in faded green and cream

still love to use fabric images.
These are some awesome old photos
I thought were just perfect for this project.

a little bit of cheesecloth
and some vintage buttons too

Great for a gift
or storage
or a pretty wall hanger decoration.
Put in some branches and pods
and you have a wonderful fall decoration.

Will soon be available here.

Some Saturday Finds

Hello everyone
and happy sunday

We finally got our car back from the garage.
It broke and we have been without car for 14 days - ughh.
You do get quite dependent....

With the car back I got a change to visit
my favorite flea again.

There weren´t many booths this time
but I did manage to find a few things

an awesome old frame with a cute illustration

a couple of old boxes.
One with purple silk fabric inside and a pair of brooken glasses
One with creamy silk fabric and some vintage silver spoons

Little baby dresses

and some collars, handkerchiefs and a bit of linen

here´s a close up of the spoon box.
It´s a bit worn and well used, but I love the silk
fabric and the way the button is made with the rack

Also a big welcome to
all my new followers.
I´m so glad you stopped by.

Wishing you all
a beautiful sunday sweet friends

A Beautiful Package

Hello all
and happy friday

I wanted to show you
a beautiful package that arrived in the studio
the other day.

Some time ago I was so lucky to win
a giveaway from my friend Gail over at

Gail had wrapped it so pretty
with handstamped ribbon, lace
and millenery berries

Here´s a close up of the berries.
I have never seen any like this over here,
I so happy to add these to my little collection.

Inside the wrapping was this
beautiful collage.

I so love it.
It´s so pretty and simple at the same time.
In the middle is a beautiful poem all surrounded by
an old photo frame and some sweet vintage flowers.
Love the colors and it fits perfect in my studio.
I have found the perfect spot for it.

Gail also included a sweet little linen pouch
all filled with vintage lace.
Do you think she knows me?

Thank you SO much Gail.
I will treasure it always.

Wishing you all a wonderful day.

Full Tilt Boogie

I first read about this over at
my long time blogging friend Alisa

She had made this beautiful journal
from a vintage celluloid photoalbum.
and when I saw it, I so wanted to make one too.

Knowing that I didn´t really had the time by now
I put it aside in my head for something I had to put on my
'to do list'

and then I went back to have a look again and again...
It keept coming back to me - the thoughts about
making a journal totally different from what I
normally work with.
This is all about paper and with lots of colors too

so I started to read about the workshop over at Mary Anns
still knowing I didn´t had the time

I could start on gathering suppliers, couldn´t I
that wouldn´t harm - and so I did.
It´s not easy to get the real good stuff over her, so I had to
order online.

The vintage celluloid albums was out of my reach.
I could find some at reasonable prices online
but the shipping costs were even more than the album price
so that was out of the question - and mind you, I wasn´t going to make one
I didn´t had the time.....

and you have probably guess it by now
I signed up for the workshop - ofcourse I did
I HAD to

so I found some awesome bookcovers in my studio
to use for the album
and have finished my first journal

Haven´t worked on any of the pages yet.

That´ll have to wait until later,
but I really enjoyed the process.

Here´s a close up of some of the pages
just prepared a bit - ready to work on

using all kinds of different papers
for the pages and different sizes too

and here´s how my journal looks like
on the front cover

I´m so glad I did this
Thank you Alisa

wanna make one too?
check out Mary Anns workshop

Wishing you all a wonderful day
