A Journal Cover

I have been working on my journal cover
and have finally finished it.
I think it turned out quite pretty

Here´s some details from to front

and the back

I have been working on some tiny burlap bags too
using the same tecnic...
which is
'no plan at all, just use what´s on the table' tecnic..

Here´s one with the word Joy:
Lace, old book page, silk and vintage button

The word 'wish'
embroidered, a tiny bit of lace, more silk
ribbon and a mother of pearl vintage button

Thought they would be great for gifts
so I added a tiny tag/card inside the bag to match

These will go in my shop later.
More to come...

A Bear Update and a Giveaway

Hi everyone

I have been working on a new design
for the bears
and have finally finished a few.

I wanted to make a slightly bigger bear
and also wanted to make them more heavy weighted
with a fluffy tummy.

This first one is Marga.
She´s 5 inch and made of a handdyed pale pink sparse mohair.
She´s wearing a sweet bow round her head.

This sweet one is Linux - also 5 inch
and with a little fabric collar round his neck.
I hope you can see their fluffy tummys on the photos.

They are both listed on my website along
with a few more bears:

And now for the giveaway.

As this is my 10 years of bear making anniversary
I have made a little bear to giveaway to one of my followers and blog readers

Please meet
Simon

Simon is also just 5 inch and made from my new design.

He´s made of a golden sparse mohair
and have been slighly aged to look old and well loved.
He´s fully cotterpin joined
heavy weighted with a fluffy tummy too.

I made him a little pair of trousers
with tiny buttons and straps.

If you would like to win this
sweet little bear
all you have to do, is to leave a comment
on this blog post

I will draw a winner on
May 24th

Thank  you so much for visiting today
and I wish you all a wonderful day

Back Home

Hi All

I´m back from a wonderful vacation in Amsterdam.
We were so lucky to have the wonderful
spring weather.

Here´s a few word pictures from our trip

when looking through the photos I took after I got back
I realized there wasn´t a lot of city pictures...
I hope it´s give you an idea anyway.

tulips at the flower market

love the bright colors on these.
Also from the flower market.

Amsterdam is a great cyckling city.
How about this bike - pretty huh....

These next photos are from the Vondel Park
A big beautiful park in the middle of the city

see these tiny pink leaves on the ground

and pretty faded hydrangeas

Near the hotel was this wonderful shop

all filled with vintage clothes and stuff from 1958
There were so many wonderful things - quite expensive though

and now you may think - how about the flea market...
oh - that wasn´t a flea market. It was a market with
mostly weird cloth and bags and stuff. I didn´t even get a photo.
That was quite disappointing - so no finds for me this time.

Remeber the journal stuff I took with me..

Here´s the start of a journal cover.
I did get some sewing time too and
are really enjoying the progress on this.
With no plans and just using what I have in hand

the front is finished and I have started on
the back as you can see.
We´ll see where this is heading..

Going to finish some projects
and then start on some new bears.
Have some new ideas I would like
to work on.

Wishing you all a wonderful sunday.
Missed you all
and are glad to be back :o)

A Canvas Collage and A Vacation Coming Up

Happy Easter Everyone
I hope you all have had some
lovely Easter Holidays.

I have had family visiting
and we have had a great time.

Today is packing day
as a long waited vacation is coming up
but first I wanted to show you
one of the creations I made with the
tiny waxed canvas.

The background is an old cover,
vintage book pages, fabric and lace

at the buttom I added a little metal piece
found at a flea marked
and an old rusty key.
Thought those pieces matched the book page
and the fabric perfect.

Here´s a closer look at the canvas.

more lace
and a bit of cheesecloth too.

The fihished piece.
It´s quite fun with those little canvases.
I made a few more ready for new creations.

******

so

The vacation....

A long waited vacation is just around the corner.
Actually this is the trip we had planned for April last year
but a vulcanic eruption came across and we had to cancel everything.

Now it´s gonna be
and tomorrow morning I´ll be heading here:

Amsterdam

and we´re also going to see this:

Keukenhof

and much more.
5 days of relaxing, excursion
good food and a little wine too.

There´s even a flea market I have been told
EVERY DAY...

Travel Journal in progress

I´ll be out of the studio from tomorrow
until May 1th.

I´ll take lots of photos to show you
when I´m back.

Wishing you all the most beautiful sunday
sweet friends
Thanks for visiting
