A Little Dress Collage

almost back to normal

22 little bears are ready for Hugglets and with one week to go

I only need to plan the table display,

prepare the package materiale, business cards ect

phew...

Going to have some studio time

for other creations again.

I´ve been having fun with a new collage

I´ve called this collage

{All Dressed Up}

playing with the lace again

and with an old book cover as background

I then made a little dress

to put on top

added a little pocket on the front and

decorated it with little pieces of lace

some vintage flowers

and a wonderful resin piece I´ve got

from my sweet friend Lisa

here´s a little close up of some of the layers of lace

My inspiration for the dress

came from my other sweet friend Dawn

Some time ago she posted about how to make a little worn dolls dress

and I thought it would be fun to try and make one.

Not nearly as pretty as hers, but I´m kind pleased with

how it turn out on the collage.

I´m working on the last bears.

Here´s another sweet Bird Creation

I called this

A bird in the Hand

the background is muslin with layers of lace

with a hanger of driftwood and wire

and here´s the nest:

a wonderful vintage glove.

I stamped the word 'nest' on the fingers

and added a rhinestone jewelry piece

peeking out of the nest

Work behind the Scene

I´m working really hard behind the scene.

on bears that is..

and when I say relly hard, I mean

r.e.a.l.l.y. h.a.r.d

I´ve gotten sooooo far behind this time.

First up is the

next weekend

The show starts on friday

and all the bears are finished and ready for this show.

Next up is the

Hugglets Winter Bear Fest

on February 27th in London

I´m working on the bears for this fair right now.

So far I have about 12 bears finished...

mind you, these are small bears, all about 4 inches

so I will probably need another 10

to fill a table....

Now you know what I mean about

being behind and working REALLY HARD - lol

Here´s a little preview of some

of the bears that will

be travelling with me to London

This little one is Baloo.

He´s made of a wonderful green
vintage furniture fabric.

I Really like the old worn look this fabric gives the bears.

He does look well loved, doesn´t he.

and here´s two sweet little girls.

and Asta on the right

so

after Hugglets comes the

Blooming Bear Show

on March 12 + 13th

Plenty of time for that you might think.

That´s what I was thinking too,

I´ve only finished one bear for this

show so far, so she´s going to be the

A Bird in a Pocket

The snow is almost gone over here

and cross my fingers there won´t come anymore.

Now we need some spring

I´m finally Back and with a GiveAway

My internet connection is up and running again

You just can´t image how hard these last 11 days

No Connection

Hi All

Just wanted to pop in and let you know

I´m still here.

Our cabel broke down due to meltwater

so I have been without connection since

last saturday, and it´s going to last

another week to be fixed.

The cable company have provided me with a

very very slow wireless connection

until everything is solved.
This will allow me to keep up with
emails and my shops
but it won´t load blogs and pages with
lots of photos...

Thank you SO much for all your comments

on my last posts and

welcome to all my new followers.

I so appreaciate all of you.

I´ll do my best to keep up

with all of you when I get my

normal (faster) connection back.

So

If I haven´t visit you lately

you now know why...sign.

Heart Creations

I bought in some burlap

and decided to create a few hearts

now that Valentines Day is approaching

then searched for some

pretty images.

These are printed on the burlap

and decorated with a little bit of silver glitter 

more pretty images

printed on muslin.

A little bit of lace

and a string as hanger.

I really like how they turned out.

Exciting News

I have wanted to share some exciting news

with you for quite some time now.

I´m so very proud to tell you that

my decorated wooden spools and cloths pins

is featured in the latest issue of

Somerset Life

This is such a great honour for me.

I´m so proud to be in this issue

among so many wonderful artist.

My sweet friend Sandy of Quill Cottage is featured too

and so is Lisa from Tarnished and Tattered.

Now I´m off to have a closed look

at all the beautiful stuff in

this wonderful mag.

A Beautiful Swap

In december Sweet Ann and I decided
to do a privat swap.

I have been a long time admirer of Anns creations

so I was beyond trilled that she wanted

to do a swap with me.

I love everything she does and her style

is just amazing.

This is how the package looked like

when I opened the box.

oooohhhhh... drooling..

so beautifully packed

with lovely seambinding, lace and

yummi silver tinsel.

I love those old books so pretty with

an old christmas decoration

and a beautiful bottlebrush tree.

We can´t get anything like that over here, so I´m so

happy for my little tree.

I saved all the silver tinsel in a tiny bag too.

Here´s a wonderful vintage pincushion.

The buttom is silver and inside little sewing notions.

Together with a beautiful old tin

decorated with lace and seambinding

and with a cabinet card on top.

This is the inside of the box.

I haven´t seen anything that pretty.

A tiny brooken mirror with an old photo in the lid

and there´s more....

when I removed the lace, this is what I saw.

All filled with the most yummi stuff.

Beautiful bling, vintage buttons, teeny tiny vintage

tags, old keys, tiny shoes...

the sweet little round box on the side

with the lady on top, is an old measuring tape

and

this....

One of Anns famous suitcase

pocket creations.

This is SO beautiful, filled with lace and trim.

It has the most wonderful pale blue color

underneath the lace.

Inside is tucket wonderful emphemera.

and if this wasn´t enough

Ann also gifted me with one of her

beautiful amazing cones.

Another little bootlebrush tree inside together

with a wonderful father christmas, a little

baby shoe, silver tinsel, lots of lace and

a sweet little lamb too.

I have been in love with Anns suitcase pockets

and her cones ever since I saw them on flickr

a long time ago

I feel so fortunate

to owe one of each now.

I LOVE everything Ann

I´ve been A Good Girl

Just a quick post to show you

how the new year have started over at my place.

On this the first day in the new year

which also happens to be my birthday

we have had the most amazing beautiful weather

*of course*

Hubby and I went for a walk at our favorite beach

and this is how it looks like right now.

With lots of snow and lots of sun

so you see....

I have been a very good girl :-)

Since this is going to be my birthday month

and because I have some very exciting news to share

(more about this soon)

and because I´m heading for 500 followers

I thought it would be appropriate with a giveaway soon.

Wouldn´t that be fun...

I have soo many plans for this new Year.
