Making Tiny Clothes

I´m working on bear for the Hugglets Fair.

The Fair is very fast approaching

only 5 more weeks to work in

struggling with the clothes

I decided some of them needed some this time

so I have been sewing

and knitting for those little ones

using tiny tiny knitting neddles and yarn

and vintage handkerchiefs for dresses

Here´s a little bunch ready for the fair

oh - maybe I should tell you

they´re only about 4 inch tall

maybe you can imagine the size of the knitting needles.

More Goodies

have arrived in the studio.

The Sweet Jodie over at Everything Vintage

wanted to provide me with some goodies when she heard

it was hard to find over here - bless her

and here´s what was in the box..

would you just believe this - Oh My

a bunch of sepia toned paper pattern

They were on my wish list

I just love the color and so wanted some

to use as gift wrap

unterneath the patterns there´s this beautiful curtain piece

and I already have some ideas for that

(you can see of this in the first photo to the right) 

a bunch of yummy lace and trim

some on vintage wooden spools too

beautiful doilies and tableclothes

and a hole bag filled to the brim

with all kind of pendants and pearls

(sorry for the blur in this photo)

look at those soft toned buttons

and this beautiful piece filles with embroidered flowers....

More Art Tag Creations

I should be making bears for Hugglets by now - I know, I know

and I am - I promise

and I´m even making tiny clothes too

I´ll show you soon...

just couldn´t put this aside

so I had to make more tags

some collage like kind of tags that is

needed to create something with the lace you know
and thanks to my German friend Birgit
I have created some with vintage photos

this time printed on muslin
and handsewn on layers of lace

and then decorated with

vintage buttons

and a little bit of bling

oh

and I´m working on a special creation

for a special friend right now

but ofcourse - I can´t show you

it´s going to be a surprise..

these collage like kind of tags

Every Girl Needs

a little bit of lace

don´t you think...

The day before we left Italy, we went to the lokal market

and I was very lucky to find a few booths with trims a lace

these are used for italian curtains

I think they were really pretty

Needed to have some...

if you´re wondering what those cotton threads are doing in there

it´s nose thread for the bears :D

I did had a little bit of lace in my stock already

bought home from Portobello Market in London

and I tell  you - it is a little bit

 because lace and trim are so hard to find in Denmark

and if they do have some at the flea markets

they also know to price it well...

I hate to have to be thrifty

and spare when I create

so I decided I had to go get some more when I got home.

and knowing that it wouldn´t be possible here

I turned to Ebay and was lucky enough to

get a few bags

so these goodies have arrived in the studio

perfect for tea dyeing  too

I do find this very pretty

and think it will be great for some more pockets

now stored in an little suitcase I found in my studio.

Not a pretty suitcase with a pocket in or something

I actually have been using it for bear stuff

but though it would look much more prettier with the lace in.

Oh - I love trims and lace.

just can´t get enough can we...

Inspired by...

the Art Tag Class at Paper Cowgirl

tought by Sweet Lisa and

all those beautiful tags made by the participants

seen here and here

and as this class wasn´t 'in my area'

I decided I had to play on my own and give it a try

so

using some beautiful old and worn flashcards as background

I gather some lace, vintage buttons and seambinding

a little bit of bling

some beautiful kalender images from  Mary

and started to play

these are the result,

I´m quite pleased with them actually

I think they came out really pretty.

A Few Tag Book Creations

I have to tell you

it´s sooooo hot over here

I know it´s nothing compared to other place, but for this little country

a temperature over 80 is a LOT

and these days it´s about 82-86 degrees

for a person ( read : me) whos favorite time of the year is Fall

this is no fun

anyway

I have been working on a few new Tag Books

using lots of lace

ribbon

and my favorite French Rubber Stamps

this is what came out

french Inspired ofcourse

I really like them

and I´m having so much fun

putting these together.

They will be available in my Etsy later.

I hope you all are enjoying the summer

My Beautiful Package from Lisa

As I told you in a previous post

a package was waiting for me when I returned home from Italy.

Before my vacation I ordered a Sepia Inpiration Kit from

the VERY talented and sweet Miss Lisa

over at

Tarnished and Tattered

Her inspiration kits sells out as fas as she can list them

and so did the one I had my eyes on so

Lisa made this beautiful one especialy for me

the lid

and this was what I saw when opening the box

OH MY

all in my favorite colors  - ofcourse

beautiful flowers

lots of buttons and lace

the sweetest little photos

and this amazingly wonderful clock face

I´m soooo in love with everything in there

besides the box was also

a bunch of pretty lace

a beautiful old book (how did she know)

cabinet cards, a beautiful pendant tied to a pretty tag

and these two vintage dolls dresses.

How amazing are those...

It was just like christmas eve
