I´m back from a great trip to London, Uk and
a wonderful show at Hugglets.

Thank you so much to all of you who came to visit.

It´s alway so much fun to catch up with collectors
and fellow bear makers.

This is my boxes when I left for the show

this is my box after the show

I had 5 little bears left over at the end of the day
and 3 of those sold on my way home to Denmark.

I got some great fabric with me home

vintage mohair

and mini bear fabric in wonderful colors.

I´m off to work on new bears
for a website update.

Next update is scheduled to

March 5th.

A little about {bears} and More about {journals}

and happy saturday

First a little bit about the bears.
I´m almost done - 22 little ones
are finished for Hugglets.
I´ve decided that is going to be it.

here´s a little view of some of them.

There´s a preview of some of the bears
on my website right now

There´s still a week and now I just need to
plan the display, prepare the paper work and find out
everything I need for the fair and the weekend in London.
Cross my fingers for nice weather.

this leaves me with free time for something else.

I´m working on some journal page collaboratives right now.
More about that later.

I took some of my older journals out.
it´s been over two years since I made my first journal

here´s a look at some of those first ones.

The pages in these are mostly scrapbook paper.
That´s what I had on hand at that time - since then
I have collected books and ledgers and stuff to use.

front page

and a look at the pages inside.

I feel the urge for more journals
and also feel my taste and style have change a bit since the first ones,
so I have decided to part with some of them.
They are all ready for use and will go in the shop.

here´s a look inside some newer ones.
More ledgers.
I LOVE ledgers, but they are very hard to find over here.

This is the last ones, including my TTV journals
from MAM´s class.

different bindings.

more look at pages.
I have some very awesome trips coming up
this year and are going to make travel journals for them all

like this TTV journal I made in Mary Anns class.
I think I´ve already showed you this in a earlier post.
Just had to show you again - I love this
'how to make a travel journal' book of mine :)

This is my new storage piece.
A kitchen island from Ikea
Bought home today
now my journal making tool storage island.

Going to start gathering some papers.

Feel the urge

Have a wonderful weekend everyone

Some Little {Old Style} Bears

The Hugglets is less than 2 weeks away.
It´s busy in the studio over here.

I´ve been working on a new {old style} bear, which is going
to have their debut at the show,

Hector - Emmet

This is my normal {old style] ones
made from vintage mohair. These are 4.5 inch tall

I wanted to see if I could make a similar style
on the smallest ones.

They are only 3.5 inch tall
and made from a special mini bear fabric

It wasn´t that easy to work in such a small scale
but I think they came out cute

they have been distressed like the bigger ones
and have gotten some stiches here and there

close up on face and nose

a laid back and relaxed attitude

Spencer - Elias - Ferdinand

A cute little handful
coming with me to the fair in London
on February 24th

I´ll have a little preview of some of the bears available
on my website later this week.

Back to work on more bears
There´s still time.

Have a wonderful day

This Years First {Flea} Market

I came across a new flea market today
Not too far away, so made arrangements with DD
and off we went to check it out.

It looks very promising and we will defenitely be visiting
again some time soon.

This is the lot I came home with

some old school note books from when I was a child

pretty little books.
I really like the graphic on the covers of these

all music sheets inside

wonderful  embroidered vintage linen dish clothes.
I haven´t decided whether to sew something from these
or keep and use as is - hhmmm

and these wonderful old books.
They are craft books filled with motives for china painting.
Love the front covers

and the back covers too.
Danish Wild flower and Flora.
So pretty

filled with the most pretty motives

I don´t paint china
but thought they were great ephemera for
journaling, collaging or a mixed media project.

I´ve listed these craft books in the shop

There´s still a few months till the Flea market
season opens over here.
Boy - was is great to find one
on a wonderful saturday in February :-)

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend
