I´m back from a wonderful vacation in the UK
and a wonderful fair too.
Thank you so much to everyone who
came to see me and the bears at the fair.
Lots of bears found new homes and I had such a great catching up
with friend and fellow bearmakers.
This is me at my table.
The photo was taken by Margit who was so kind to spend
her sunday with me at the fair. I´ve gotten to know Margit through
some of Mary Anns classes. It was so great to finally meet her
and we had such a great time together.
The weather were with us in London
despite the dark clouds
This wonderful old bread wagon
is from Jamie Olivers new store Recipease in London.
A very cool and great store.
After London we had a little stop on the way to the Lakes
in Liverpool
and got to see some Beatles Story.
Arriving at the lakes on a beautiful sunny saturday
we went straigh out on a drive with our hosts
Marianne and Graeme.
They showed us the most beautiful places
and we enjoyed it so much.
it turned out saturday was the only day with sun.
After that we had showers on and off the rest of the time.
but that´s okay
everything up there is still so beautiful.
The only art suppliers I brought with me on the trip was
my moleskine journal and a little watercolor set.
I´ve been wanting to learn journaling, drawing and painting for a while
and in between walks
I got to practice a little
Here´s some of the drawings in my journal
I´m only just beginning to learn a little bit
about this and back home I´ve expanded my workroom to the
the dining room table to experimenting with some journaling.
working on my first page.
I´m very curious about where this new adventure will lead me.
Even though I´ve started working with drawings and journaling
I´ll still be making bears - no worries about that.
A few bears came home with me from the fair
and they will be listed on my website later this week.
I haven´t decided when, so you´ll have to sign up on my
mailing list if you need to be notified straigh away.
I will be doing a post here too, when they are up.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I hope to post more about my journaling adventure
as it goes along.
Wishing you all a wonderful fall day

So glad to hear that you had a great time in the UK. Your photographs of the Lake District brought back wonderful memories for me. We spent many a walking holiday there when the children were young.
Hi Tina,
It's nice to see photos of where you have been in your travels - especially London and the area. Your pictures of the Lake District confirm once again that I need to add it to my 'must see' list the next time we are able to get over there. Congratulations on the show!
