Still Playing Around

You know - I got this new camera of mine
and I´m still playing around to find out all the settings.

One of the coolest thing is the photo editing program that followed.

just look at this....

I haven´t been able to make frames and edges
on my photos before - and now I can yipeeee.

So - I took a few photos in the studio I wanted to share with you

old wooden spools

a cigar box with my cabinat cards
just waiting to be decorated

a few of my old books

I just love old books...

from my last visit at the flea market
pale pink faux roses - I pulled them apart

These beautiful rose leaves would be perfect as a flower garland

lots of old key holes - perfect for upcoming projects.

I found them at the flea market too.

My latest and biggest bear.
I wanted to take my bears in a new direction
and have been working on a totally new design.
A 9.5 inch bear which is really big for me - ha
I think she came out quite sweet
and I have planned to make a few more big bears.
I hope you enjoyed the photos
I still have so much to learn
but I do have a lot of fun.

More Projects and a Wonderful Surprise

I had planned a post today to share my new fabric projects with you all - but before I go on with this I just have to start this blog post about something totally different.
As I got home from work today, an unexpected parcel was waiting for me in the mail

The most beautiful wrapped parcel came from my friend Alisa
who blog over at Life is a beautiful place to be

She had send me one of her beautiful Journals.
Just look at this - and in the most lovely colors.

decorated on the inside with old ledger paper.
The perfect journal to gather all my ideas in one spot.

Oh -I just love it.
And the flower on the parcel - it´s a brooch...
Isn´t it just wonderful.
Thank you so much Alisa
Make sure you pop over to Alisa´s shop
She has some very pretty journals among
other beautiful stuff in her shop right now

****************************************************

So - more new projects.
Remember the fabric I bought a few weeks ago..

I´ve finshed some more projects with that.

soft and pastel

pincushions decorated with lace and buttons

and these little ones

with lace and buttons too

and tiny tea dyed tags with rubber stamps

sweet faux cupcakes

these will apprear in my shops as soon
as I get them listed along the way.
and
some time ago I bought a big faux flower
in soft hvide, cream, yellow colors.

I took of the flower leaves and added them to
a shape cut out from an old book

sew on a button in the middle and added a string

and got this lovely garland.
Isn´t it pretty.
I have more in the making and these wil be added to the shops as well.
Oh - and I have some GREAT new to share
but this will have to wait a bit.
Have a lovely and creative day

Journals

I found some ordinary plain black notebooks in the studio the other day
and decided to make them into pretty unusual notebooks or Journals instead.

Using old military maps, old book pages

sweet images and an old cabinet cards

This one has an old metal seahorse added to a piece of lace
glued into the front page of the journal.
Then you can use the lace string to mark which page you´re on.

The word 'Journal' writed with rubber stamps on the front

One Journal closed with a string and a vintage button which can be removed.
A tiny teadyed tags under an old metal clip.

The front page of one
with a stamp and the words
'Du Page County'

I actually think they came out quite pretty.
They are both blank inside with lines
all ready to write in.
Would be perfect as a dairy, a notebok, an art journal
or maybe just a pretty decoration.
Both listed here.
Wishing you all a pretty sunday.
